µ-Posts (What is this?)

This is a stream/feed/river (or whatever you want to call it) of short posts that I write over time. If I feel like it I also repost to my Mastodon and/or Twitter account. Such posts are marked with Mastodon icon and/or Twitter icon, respectively.

Comments, likes and other responses to the posts can be shown after clicking on Permalink icon. Add your responses too!

Really, asking "what should replace Facebook" is putting things the wrong way around.

A more interesting way to ask the question is, "what did Facebook replace."

People used to build their own websites. People used to have blogs. People used USENET which was truly distributed and un-censorable.

Facebook and Google took the open internet and open standards and monetized and made everything crappy. Enough of that. Nothing should replace Facebook, it's done, stick a fork in it.

Would be nice to have an automatic export of RSSs to .

Imagine for every RSS/Atom feed having a dedicated bot which posts new toot for every new entry in the feed. Then we would have a separate discussion for "every" website on the internet!

One can say that already now anybody can just share whatever is on the internet. But what I suggest allows to automatically link content and the website owners don't even have to have a Mastodon account. 😉

Any thoughts?

Looking around and tooting my 🙂
