I can post both to Mastodon and Twitter from my blog via brid.gy! I'm still not sure how to turn my website into an ActivityPub endpoint but otherwise I'm really pleased with #indieweb!

Nice article about something I've been thinking about for some time. It suggests that in this era of quickly-spreading information with not so clear credibility, we can do better by combining Twitter for getting the reach and university-hosted blogs (to which the tweets would point) for providing trustworthiness of the said information.
Of course, also other institutions could be "trustworthiness providers" (e.g. the BBC) and host blogs of their people. One problem is that now in the eyes of many people universities and other traditional institutions have lost their reputation for some reason.
